Garden description
This dramatic and rugged canyon in Sonoma Co. is known for its unique geological and botanical features. Roger has spent nearly 30 years documenting its botanical treasures, including a few plants he discovered which occur nowhere else. After buying a major parcel, the 520 acre Main Canyon, in 1999, Roger and David set about making the terrain and its special features more accessible to those visiting, including friends, family, educational groups and scientists. Constructing extensive trails, a basic camp, and improving road access has made it simpler and more enjoyable to share the experience, while minimizing human disturbance.
