Property description
The Cedars is a dramatic and rugged canyon in Sonoma County known for its unique geological and botanical features. Roger has spent nearly 30 years documenting its botanical treasures, including seven plants which occur nowhere else. Since 1999 after buying the 520 acre Main Canyon parcel, Roger and David have been guiding tours and have created a unique eco friendly trail system. In 2011, efforts lead by Roger and David in cooperation with Save The Redwoods League guided 500 acres of the Main Canyon into permanent conservation as part of an Area of Critical Environmental Concern for the US Bureau of Land Management. Roger and David continue to facilitate tours and guided access through their remaining lands and their Friends of The Cedars organization.
