Garden description
After completely remodeling a San Franciscan turn-of-the-century house, a young couple came to us to have a garden designed that would embody their mutual love of plants, especially plants of unusual forms, flowers, colors and textures. The very limited space of the street front yard was challenging, but we created an intricate planting that thrives in this climate while providing layers of visual interest for the owners and passers-by. The backyard became an extension of the interior living space with a deck and stone patio, more diverse plantings, a water feature, mysterious pathways and a pebble arroyo Ð a favorite play spot for the kids.
